There are no legal problems with cannabis
Cannabis is still illegal despite the down grading of it from a Class B to Class C drug.
The police can arrest you (and will if you are under 18 years) if you are caught in possession of cannabis there are also severe penalties for the intention to supply to others.
If you are under 18, and it's your first offence of cannabis possession you will normally be arrested, taken to the police station and given a warning or a reprimand.

If you just drink water with Ecstasy you'll be fine
Dancing and 'E' heat you up and it's easy to become very dehydrated that you overheat and even collapse.
Drinking too much water can be as dangerous as drinking too little- as water is not an antidote to ecstasy, it just helps stop dehydration.
If you are dancing non-stop, aim to drink about a pint of fluid (not alcohol, but water or isotonic sports drink) an hour, to replace fluid lost through sweating.
If you are not dancing, you do not need to drink so much fluid.
Smoking heroin is safe
Though most of the health risks associated
with heroin are through injecting, smoking is not risk free.
Not only are you at risk of developing chest problems, many
smokers who say that they’d never inject, eventually
find that smoking doesn’t give them the effect they
need.
Also, mixing heroin with other drugs (especially alcohol or
tranquillisers) is very dangerous.
Everyone my age tries drugs
Though it may seem that way- this is not the case. Many people find themselves in situations where there is a lot of pressure to conform. This can result in people saying they take drugs to fit into their peer group, when in fact they do not.
Crack is a drug problem for inner cities only
Crack cocaine may be more concentrated in inner city areas but it is certainly not restricted to them. Nor is crack just sold in crack houses but it is also sold on the streets.
Once you're on crack- you can't ever come off
Crack cocaine dependency is treatable. Although there are no confirmed pharmacological interventions for crack cocaine dependence, psychological interventions such as cognitive behavioural therapy (in which crack cocaine users are helped to understand how the drug works, how to avoid triggers, craving and relapses) have been proven to be effective. As in all drug treatment, adopting a whole life approach rather than a narrow medical one is the key to success.
Drugs make you feel good
For a while they do, but then you crash!
If you do want a high you will have to accept that there is a price to pay for it- the come down. Generally the more you have taken the bigger the come down, though the type of come down is often dependent on the drug taken. For instance after a big night out on cocaine you can expect to experience a range of emotions- anxiety, paranoia, depression, as well as a range of other effects such as muscle twitching, rapid pulse and nausea. Whereas on Ecstasy you could feel tired and depressed for days.
A-Z of Drugs
I won't get hooked!
There may of course be long periods of times where you may not take any drugs but unfortunately there is also a fine line between doing drugs just at the weekends to not having a good weekend without them. Addiction is not just a physical phenomena but can be psychological too, this is often dependent on the drug as drugs affect each of us differently.
