The Youth Awareness Programme cannot be summarised here. Sorry! The magic of YAP needs to be experienced to be really understood. However what we can do is present a taster. Like a cinema trailer, which arouses your curiosity and inspires you to take a closer look.
 
The Youth Awareness Programme (YAP) is a collective of five projects across London. All the projects are based on research into what young people themselves wanted from a local support service. All are part of the In-volve organisation, which manages many other projects around the U.K. In-volve is internationally recognised as a pioneer in its field and has a strong track record of designing and developing innovative projects, which meets diverse needs.
 
YAP is an intensive exciting 12-week programme for young people between 16 & 25 providing nationally recognised qualifications credited by London Open College Network (L.o.c.n) with credits at level 2 & 3. The qualifications are awarded in Audio X, which is digital production training and a youth & drugs work qualification. The 12 week programme also carries out various training sessions in educational workshops, coaching in life skills, M.C’ing, making music, personal development and employment prospects as well as project involvement, outreach experience and delivery of workshops in schools.
Recently, Hillingdon YAP has also introduced a structured video and editing production component to our full time training programme.
 
YAP also provides a chance for young people who are unable to commit to the full time training programme to assist in the organization of community events. Ring for current details!
